IT Technical Specialist (support) - Position # 3640

Company Profile 

Our client is international company operating within IT providing services mainly to banks. 

Responsibilities 

• Manage the ad-hoc inputs and output files for mainframe batch processing and engagement with development teams to assist in conversions of clients to the processing platforms and major code release changes
• Using Universal Service Desk for Incident resolution and Change control
• Engagement and analyzing impact to SLA for Major Releases
• Liaise directly with US Command Centre regarding UAT failures relating to Major Installs
• Perform major batch recoveries including retransmissions and recycling of incorrect Online viewed reports
• Perform exception JCL overrides to UAT and Production for project or urgent fix
• Perform retransmissions from Client requests
• Attend project/client meetings to report on actions
• Perform batch parallel run activity to predetermine changes to elapsed
• The position calls for frequent contact with both internal and external departments.
• Providing help to customers using organization’s products or services;
• Assisting in developing customer service procedures, policies and standards

Qualifications 

• Proven experience with transmissions protocols and manipulation of the protocols
• Knowledge of any of following is an advantage: JCL, VSAM, IAM, TSO, CA7
• Minimum bachelor degree (technical field)
• 2 years of experience on technical support
