Production Control Engineer - Position # 3646
Company Profile
Our client is international company operating within IT providing services mainly to banks.
Responsibilities
- Works on highly complex projects and issues within functional technical area.
- Works more independently with IT functional units and business units.
- Ensures adherence to established standards and may consult with senior managers on technology solutions. Supports existing business systems applications and may be responsible for leading technical aspects of a project.
- May be responsible for assigning resources and delegating tasks to meet project deliverables.
- Recommends strategies for technical aspects of projects as well as broad system improvements. Coaches and leads less experienced IT staff and business managers.
- Provides leadership on projects. Responsibilities with regards to applications will consist of providing technical expertise and design guidance and participation in the development of and support of new and existing applications. This will mean full development lifecycle responsibilities from requirements, through Analysis, Design, Coding and Unit Testing.
Qualifications
Main Skills & Experience required:
- Extensive knowledge of TSO, Endevor
- Extensive knowledge of IBM MVS/JCL and CA-7
- REXX experience needed. SDLC experience with Cobol/Assembler development including compile/debugging functions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Basic IBM/MVS utilities: IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, IEFBR14, and IDCAMS
- Experience in the following is helpful: Fileaid, QuickRef, Comparex, SuperC, NDM, and Cyberfusion, CA Servicie Desk
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
