SAN Engineer Senior - Position # 3652

Company Profile 

Our client is international company operating within IT providing services mainly to banks. 

Responsibilities 

- Installation, administration, data-migration, provisioning, and decommissioning of large multi-site SAN environments.
- Data migration as part of data center consolidation
- Responsible for code and microcode upgrades
- Plans and implements the design and installation of subsystems, SW and/or HW.
- Responsible for ITIL processes including change management, incident management, problem management, capacity management, and performance management
- Understanding of IP networking including routing and firewall rules
- Will be required to participate in rotating 24x7x365 on call duties
- Storage performance analysis and troubleshooting
- Storage capacity management and planning
- Production and disaster recovery replication and testing

Qualifications 

Other requirements:
- 6+ years related IT experience.
- Developing for documentation and maintaining storage standards
- Experience with backup and DR recovery technologies and techniques encompassing architecture

Language:
- English - Advanced (written and oral)

Profesional experience:
- Experience with provisioning, troubleshooting, and administering EMC storage hardware including Symmetrix, VMAX, Clariion, NS, Enterprise Disk Libarary (EDL), Celerra, and Centera
- Experience with IBM XIV and DS8000 arrays
- Experience with EMC SAN management tools – including EMC Control Center, Connectrix (ECFM), Time Finder, Symmetrix Remote Data Facility (SRDF), Performance Manager, Storage Scope, Symcli, and NetApp (Onaro) SANscreen.
- Experience with IBM XIV and DS8000 arrays.
- Experience with setup and zoning of enterprise SAN switches from Brocade and McData in a core/edge framework
