SW Validation/Test Team Leader - Position # 3843

Responsibilities 

- Technically to manage complex validation projects
- To be a validation/test specialist on the projects for the customer and the project team
- To plat and guarantee the optimal test strategy within an optimal cost
- To ensure that the global solution validation is done properly and covers all customer requirements, respecting our Validation process
- To prepare and execute the Acceptance Test with customers
- To manage validation skills and knowledge in project/ in team
- To manage a small validation/test team (2-3 people) in project
- Building the test strategy in working closely with other technical leaders (development, integration and architect)
- Reviewing requirements and designing specifications in order to adapt test strategy and alert on possible test issues
- Defining and managing load-stress/stability tests
- Writing and reviewing project test plans (functional test, integration test, stress test, end-to-end test, result monitoring, Acceptance Test Plan)
- Performing manual and automated tests of the solution her/him-self or with team
- Ensuring test coverage versus requirements
- Performing regular bug reviews and reporting to project manager (bugs trend/report )
- Writing and participating to execution of Acceptance Test Plan
- Participating to customer acceptance with customers
- Ensuring bug tracking
- Consolidating, reporting and sharing tests results
- Managing qualifiers in the projects and ensuring the best practices are applied
- Managing HR area of validation/test team (coaching, evaluation,...)
- Supporting the validators/test

Qualifications 

- University graduate, ideally in Software, Electronics or Telecommunications is preferred
- Fluent English
- At least 4-5 years experience in Software Validation as a Tester/ Validator/ QA Eng.
- At least 2-3 years experience as a Technical Leader
- Strong technical background, strong leadership skills
- Be able to inspire and motivate others in team spirit, positive attitude and high productivity
- Excellent knowledge of validation methodology (writing specification, validation test plan, development standard load tests tools)
- Knowledge of the Quality Assurance processes
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle / Custom Development Life Cycle
- Experienced with testing on Unix/ Linux platform
- Basic programming skills – Java/J2EE, any scripting or OOP language
- Basic knowledge of databases - SQL (MS SQL, MySQL), Oracle (PL/SQL)
- Good analytical mind and problem solving skills
- Customer and service orientation
- Communicative, open-minded, friendly and a team player
- Flexibility and ability to share knowledge and to work under pressure
- Autonomous, creative, curious, pragmatic and rigorous
- Willing to travel on business abroad (occasionally)

Advantage:

- Experience with test automation tools/frameworks & Quality Center (Mercury)
- Standard web/soap load tests tools knowledge: soapui and/or jmeter or similar tools
- Knowledge of Telecom networks and security + handsets dev. (GSM/3G, secure SW/PKI, SIMcard, J2ME middlets)
